The year 1873 was a turning point in the history of American firearms. It was then that Winchester introduced the Model 1873 as “The Gun That Won the West,” a lever-action that immediately revolutionized the way Americans viewed rifles. The 1873 was a strong, steel-framed centerfire rifle chambered in readily-available pistol-caliber cartridges capable of taking most American game save for the biggest and most dangerous.

Just as importantly, it came in various configurations including a handy 20” barreled version that could be easily carried both on foot and in a horse-scabbard. Uberti wants to pay tribute to this iconic rifle’s 150th anniversary by offering the handy 20” version embellished with an original 19th-century engraving. Thanks to its sturdy all-steel frame, this engraved rifle comes in both the hard-hitting .45 LC and the versa-tile .357 Magnum / .38 Special chamberings.

Please don’t be afraid to take these engraved rifles to the range or the field. That is what they were designed to do!
